Hundreds of people are taking part in Paula Zuccotti’s new project - here are 3 submissions

Three weeks ago Paula Zuccotti invited friends and family to join her in a mini challenge, where she asked them to photograph the 15 items that have become essential to their life during lockdown.

Since then, the project has taken on a life of its own and she's received over 500 contributions from strangers all around the world, including the Head of Design at Pepsi Co

Not only is the project a live archaeology of this unique period in time, but contributors have responded to the brief in magical and unexpected ways, like this incredible stop animation.

Paula has received submissions from Australia to Israel, to Ecuador to Taiwan and it’s growing with every day.

We personally love this project because we feel it’s important to know we’re all going through the same experience together. Even though our borders are closed, hopefully, people around the world will feel connected through it.

The project is based on Paula’s best-selling book “Every Thing We Touch” (published by Penguin) where she interviewed 60 profiles from 60 countries and gathered every object they touched in 24 hours. Participants from a vast array of ages, cultures, professions and backgrounds — from a toddler in Tokyo to a cowboy in Arizona — took part in documenting their personal possessions, arranging their objects together in a single frame:

2. email / text your photo to Paula directly on +44 7855 878497 / pau [at] paulazuccotti [dot] com.

There is talk of it turning into an exhibition so we look forward to seeing your submission up there, along with our very own.
