“Not since Heston Blumenthal burst onto the scene has anyone brought such crazed ambition to food design.”

- The Telegraph -

From inhalable gin clouds to multi-sensory fireworks, architectural jelly to DNA-based dinners, Bompas & Parr, founded by Sam Bompas and Harry Parr, has helped shape culture by introducing ‘multi-sensory experience’ to a global stage - with food at the heart. “I think Bompas & Parr are geniuses. It’s the principles of rock ‘n’ roll applied to food” writes Alex James Cheesemonger and former bass player for Blur.

  • The duo continually propagates cutting-edge, ‘world-first’ projects and as a result have been named Fellows of the Royal Society of Arts London, were selected as one of Advertising Age’s Creativity 50 and were selected as one of 15 people who will define the future of arts in Britain by The Independent newspaper among other accolades.

  • They are constantly referred to as the real ‘Willy Wonka’s’ on account of their ambitious, audacious and immersive projects. Take the edible fireworks ignited at London’s New Year’s Eve celebration choreographed to release flavour for an audience for a quarter of a million people; flooding the roof of London’s famed Selfridges department store and turning it into a boating lake and bar; cooking with a 1 billion-year-old piece of lava heated to 1350 degrees; building a Willy Wonka chocolate waterfall flowing at a rate of 12,000 liters an hour.

  • For Bompas and Parr food is an inexhaustible medium to construct fantasies and build worlds, an invitation into hidden stories and curiosities of past culture and heritage. Food is both a material for kickstarting critical conversations and a source of outrageous new forms of entertainment.

  • The multi-disciplinary studio comprises cooks and structural engineers, filmmakers and psychologists to create installations, experiences and artworks that lead the cultural conversation.

  • Bompas and Parr are founders of The British Museum of Food which manifests in a multitude of richly researched, pop-up experiences.

  • They are The Drum’s Winner of Best Experiential Agency and International Business Gold Award Winner’s
